Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, our client has continued to dominate the real estate and construction industry for the past 50 years! In addition, they have also expanded their business to industries like renewable energy, tourist attractions and restaurants. Currently, they are looking to add a Senior Project Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Salary expectations: $90,0000 to $105,000

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Project Accounting, the senior project accountant will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Work with the operational groups for their budgets and commitments, ensuring balances and assumptions are accurate.
  • Work on monthly budget exception reports and ensure all the projects are set up correctly.
  • Prepare monthly construction draw packages and respond to all inquiries from the quantity surveyors, banks & lenders, and partners.
  • Prepare and circulate monthly pro forma reports for management review.
  • Work on year-end audits as needed.
  • Manage variance analysis and cash flow for different projects.
  • Work on Ad hoc project analysis and duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of project accounting experience.
  • Pursuing or designated CPA
  • 5 days in an office role.
  • Development or GC project accounting experience is required.
