JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Business Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager Strategic Initiatives, this position is responsible to support quantitative and qualitative analysis of business strategy and business development questions to management of New Nuclear Growth team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide support for numerical modelling of financial projections (pro-forma financial statements) and other models such as market size, margins, staffing requirements, etc., as well as supporting the creation of frameworks to structure business problems.
  • Supporting management with the creation of slide decks and written documents, as part of an integrated client team.
  • Helping to structure business problems to develop strategies, conducting analysis, and building fact base to support those strategies.
  • Developing strategy communications in PowerPoint to support management presentations for an executive audience.
  • Supporting management with financial modelling in Excel and the development of pro-forma financial models.
  • Conducting industry and company research to support management projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four Year University degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant working experience.
  • Requires demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Requires knowledge of operational performance reporting principles and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

This position is moving to OPG Corporate Headquarters: In Summer 2025, OPG will officially welcome employees to our new Corporate Headquarters located at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario. This position will be temporarily based in Toronto, ON until the move to Headquarters in the Summer of 2025.
