THE ROLE
Imagine the excitement of showcasing your skills in a deployed environment for six months as an Accounting Coordinator supporting the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations! This role involves not just accounting duties but enhancing the morale and welfare of deployed troops.
The Accounting Coordinator is part of an enthusiastic team working in a fast-paced environment, managing the delivery of accounting services and programs. Responsibilities include providing advice on accounting policies, reporting unusual trends, acting as Comptroller, and providing training on financial topics.
This role also involves assisting with recreational activities for CAF and partner nations, contributing to their mental and physical readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
- College diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
- Canadian citizenship
- Valid Canadian passport
- Valid Canadian driver’s license (Class G or Class 5)
Experience
- Inventory control
- Applying policies, procedures, and regulations
- Planning, organizing, and delivering accounting services
- Providing finance and accounting advice
- Budget administration
- Conducting presentations
- Preparing financial statements and management reports
Competencies
- Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.
Additional Qualifications Prior to Deployment
- Health, dental and psychosocial assessment completion
- Security screening
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
- Ability to handle heavy items

JOB INFORMATION
POSITION TYPE
Civilian deployment contracts are 6-month terms with potential deployment start dates within the next 2 years.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary: $36,425 - $40,375 for six months
- Hours of work: Max 56 hours per week
- Tax-free allowance: Up to $1,716 per month
- Home Leave Travel Allowance (Vacation): Paid leave possibility

SUCCESSFUL SELECTION AND TRAINING COURSE
