As a Specialist, Consumer Insolvency, you’ll learn what it takes to help people resolve their financial situations. Your on-the-job training will give you the opportunity to:

  • Acquire and apply technical and theoretical knowledge under Canadian federal insolvency legislation
  • Understand the impact of insolvency proceedings amongst all stakeholders including creditors.
  • Meet with consumers of all demographics to analyze and assess their financial situations before drafting viable debt solutions.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through a client-centric approach
  • Take an active role in industry organizations, events and firm marketing initiatives
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert and make a name for yourself in the Moncton market

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Specialist, Consumer Insolvency? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

  • Desire to learn and grow, and be an integral part of a high performing team
  • Fluently Bilingual (English & French)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience ideally in a sales or customer service environment
  • University Degree in Finance, Commerce or related field
  • Willingness to work towards a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) or Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) designation, which will be supported by Doane Grant Thornton
  • Accounting designation would be an asset but not a requirement
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • A strong aptitude to be a dynamic leader and ability to clearly communicate to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong client development skills and enjoys the social aspects of marketing to key targets
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • A strong ability to connect with and build relationships with key stakeholders and the internal Doane Grant Thornton team
  • Willingness to travel within the Atlantic region

If you’re already a Trustee or have previous consumer insolvency experience, we are happy to consider you for a more senior position.
