Reporting to the Senior Business Advisor, Teck Digital Systems (TDS) Strategy, Planning & Performance, the Business Analyst is responsible for supporting financial and data analysis. This outstanding individual will support the development and financial management of TDS service areas to ensure cost efficiency and alignment. The successful candidate will also be integrating data-driven decision-making into reporting frameworks to facilitate continuous improvement!

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Develop and maintain financial models to support IT Business Planning and Cost Transparency Reporting services
- Collaborate on cost-benefit analyses for technology investments and service optimization
- Support governance initiatives with financial insights and decision-support frameworks
- Align financial work with TDS objectives, ensuring transparency and accuracy
- Manage the performance reporting cycle from end to end, starting with defining metrics, monitoring progress of key partners who are collecting data, identifying gaps for optimization using data analysis, and driving reporting activities to ensure transparent presentation of business progress
- Craft and implement data models for TBM-aligned cost reporting and performance analytics Maintain updated documentation for each process in a knowledge learning library
- Design innovative solutions to business problems, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals
- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for performance management processes, and procedures
- A University degree in Business Administration / Commerce, Information Technology, Statistics, or Finance is preferred
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role with financial analysis, modelling, and data visualization
- Expert at analytical thinking, facilitation, presentation, and problem-solving skills and at identifying and analyzing large volumes of information
- Proven capacity to analyze and forecast financials, and synthesize data into actionable insights
- Ability to work well in a dynamic team while managing multiple assignments simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile) is an asset
- Experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization software
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and SharePoint (O365 preferred)
- Knowledge of TBM framework and cost allocation methodologies is preferred
- Experience with Organizational Change Management (e.g., Prosci)
- Familiarity with Mining, Natural Resources, or experience working within a heavy industry maintenance organization is desirable
- Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset
