We are seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Project Services team. Candidates can be based in any Montrose Canadian Locations.
Responsibilities
- Creating and editing spatial data and mapping products and performing geospatial analyses in support of our service lines and key areas of work
- Generating, editing, and maintaining relational geospatial databases
- Assist in updating and maintaining mapping standards and work processes
- Providing technical support and training to team members
What We Are Looking For
- Possess 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
- An undergraduate degree in a related discipline or technical diploma
- Proven experience implementing & managing Geomatics projects
- Proven experience coordinating with team members and clients to determine Geomatics project requirements
- The ability to guide and support the growth and development of junior members
- Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software suite and extensions
- An ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, regulations, drawings and job specifications
- Have a keen eye for cartographic design and the capability to produce high quality cartographic products
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere
Asset Experience
- Working on pipeline projects
- ArcGIS Pro
- ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases
- ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal) / Online
- Setting up ESRI Field Maps and Survey 123 data collection services
- FME or ESRI model builder
- Acquiring or processing UAV imagery
- AutoCAD Map or Civil 3D
- GIS Programming experience using technology such as Python, JavaScript, C#, SQL, and related skills
- Field experience (along with applicable certifications)
- Providing technical support and training to team members
- Project management and coordination
- New Century or similar alignment sheet software
