The Arbutus Club is looking for an HR Coordinator to join the HR department. This person will assist the HR Manager with full cycle recruitment, orientations, staff events, staff communications, staff surveys and more.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and publish job postings to the appropriate job boards (external, staff room, careers page, etc.)
  • Review and pre-screen candidate applications and conduct reference checks on selected candidates
  • Acts as the main point of contact for shortlisted candidates throughout the full recruitment cycle
  • Schedule and coordinate interview details between candidates and hiring managers
  • Co-lead orientation sessions for new employees
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects and tasks as requested by HR Manager
  • Support internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Assist in planning and coordinating staff activities, events, training, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee data (electronic and physical)
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and Health and Safety Committee meetings
  • Drafting and sending HR Communications and updates to all staff
  • Ensure the Employee handbook is kept up to date by making revisions when policies are updated

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources Management, or working towards one
  • Experience using Canva or other design tools is considered an asset
  • 2 years of HR or relevant experience preferred

Pay: $52,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Human resources: 2 years (required)
