Key Functions:

• Developing and implementing silviculture treatment strategies
• Supervising contractors in planting, site preparation, stand tending, and surveys
• Participating in the annual budgeting process for the silviculture program and the annual Forestry Accrual Rate
• Working with internal and external researchers to develop new silviculture practices
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, stakeholders, and the general public
• Silviculture recordkeeping and submission to government
• Actively participating in safety and environmental systems management
• Engaging in developmental training opportunities to gain exposure to all aspects of our business

Qualifications:

• Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RPFT) or eligible for registration
• Sense of curiosity
• Proactive safety leader with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a team or individually
• Capability to prioritize work activities and assignments
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite

What We Offer: Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, targeting a salary range of $83,400 - $120,100. Benefits: Comprehensive employee benefits plan, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
