We Are Seeking a Driven Individual For An Opportunity In The Area Of Quality Management (QA/QC). The Candidate Will Work As Part Of Operation Team And Report To The VP Of Manufacturing And Quality. The Successful Candidate Will Be

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Engineer at Planar Motor in Richmond, BC. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality, quality management, quality control, and quality assurance processes. Detailed tasks may include as below.
- ISO 9001 certification as a top priority.
- Draft procedures and processes to support the QMS development.
- Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company.
- Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
- Ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and create quality processes, documentation, and testing standards.
- Analyze current and future procedural needs of the business.
- Organize and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.
- Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors.
- Host external Quality System audits.
- Submit any required APQP/NPI document to customers and be the Owner of the PPAP or FAI.
- Manage Customer Quality Performance, including CAPA for line rejects, field failure and PPM reduction initiatives.
- Manage Supplier Quality activities, such as conducting assessment, managing communication and problem solving with suppliers.
- Solve internal quality and continuous improvements.
- Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- QMS tools (DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, 8D, Lean Concepts etc.)
- Certified Internal Auditor of ISO9001 or IATF16949.
- Knowledge of FAI, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related quality experience
- Knowledge of quality systems, ISO9001 etc.
- Be a good team player, proactive and accountable.
- GD&T/Schematics Interpretation.
- Problem Solving techniques, CAPA/8D etc.
- Excellent PC skills with the ability to produce high quality document deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas to audiences with varying degrees of technical background.
- English language on proficient level in writing and speaking.
- Familiar with technical documentation.
