The Regional Director is responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of capital development projects as assigned, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and that required outcomes are achieved. The Regional Director leads the projects from procurement to completion and is responsible for ensuring appropriate engagement with executive sponsors and development of a project plan that guides the project work, including consultation and communication of project progress with key stakeholders.

Starting salary will be approximately from $141,146 to $176,433 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications
  • Post-graduate degree in Business Management, Health Administration or Architecture/Building/Engineering supplemented by a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive project management experience with large complex health care projects.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of capital planning, capital project management, facilities management, facilities development, in publicly funded health care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health care and relevant government procedures, standards and requirements.
  • Advanced project management skills, including demonstrated effectiveness in planning and coordinating major projects from conceptual design through construction completion.
  • Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction to others including staff and contractors.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships that promote the cooperative achievement of goals and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
  • High level of communication, negotiation and facilitation skills with a variety of audiences in order to achieve the desired results within critical timeframes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Advanced skill in operating equipment and software including knowledge of computer application systems such as word processing, spreadsheet, and project planning asset management software.
  • Extensive knowledge of health care construction standards, contract law, building codes and bylaws.
  • Ability to use appropriate strategies to resolve conflict and build consensus between stakeholders on critical issues. Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities or unforeseen opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex issues towards creative solutions.
