Fitness Class Instructor

The Fitness Class Instructor reports to the General Manager and ensures a best-in-class fitness class experience for members through engaging and high-quality fitness classes. The role involves achieving member retention and satisfaction, executing company policies and programs, and exemplifying the company’s culture and values.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to welcome fitness class participants and answer questions; begin and end fitness classes on time.
• Clean all equipment and shared touchpoints used by you before and after each class, and instruct participants to do the same.
• Conduct fitness classes as per the designated format and ensure participants' needs are met by modifying exercises as required.
• Demonstrate how to conduct exercises and use equipment safely, enforce all safe use policies to minimize the risk of injury, and perform first aid as required.
• Address member concerns timely by following company policies and documentation requirements and immediately report incidents to the General Manager.
• Immediately address cleanliness, health, and safety concerns and report incidents to the General Manager.
• Participate in internal fitness education programs to further develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Foster strong relationships with other departments and functional areas of the company, such as member service and personal training.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
