- We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced react native developer to join our client’s IS team.
- You will play a crucial role in the development of our client’s mobile applications, ensuring they are robust, maintainable, and deliver a seamless user experience while not sacrificing efficiency, privacy or security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
- Write clean, well-documented, secure and efficient code in TypeScript and ensure it can run on multiple platforms.
- Create UI components from wireframes and prototypes.
- When necessary, work with native modules.
- Create automated tests to check that your code is error-free and that it performs well.
- Ensure that all code is tested and documented based on business requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and practices.
- Implement and maintain state management with Redux architecture to increase website/mobile app speed.
- Identify and troubleshoot bugs, bottlenecks, and other issues.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications meet business expectations.
- Ensure thoughtful coding practices which create tight security and guarantee Privacy by Design.
- Communicate with stakeholders at a high level to understand requirements and provide solutions in efficient and innovative ways.
- Gain knowledge and stay abreast of technology trends and developments in the insurance industry to use best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in mobile app development.
- Bachelor's/degree Master's in computer science, information technology, or comparable experience.
- Proven experience as a React Native Developer with a strong portfolio of mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, offline storage, and the document request model.
- An extensive understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming and front-end languages is required.
- Strong understanding of clean code principles and best practices.
- Understanding of user interface and responsive design.
- Knowledge of React Native's best practices and design aesthetics.
- The ability to develop clean, well-documented code that adheres to acceptable coding principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrations.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React Native development.
- Experience with Redux for state management.
- Knowledge of mobile app testing and debugging techniques.
- Experience with Gradle, XCode, and other native build tools.
- Experience working with automated testing suites like Mocha, Jest, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience as a forward thinker, with the ability and interest to be innovative, and spear-head new ideas.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, peers and third parties.
- Attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
