A Software Engineer takes ownership of their assigned projects. They focus on developing both their technical skills and non-technical skills, as they contribute to project delivery. While actively collaborating with peers, they solve challenging problems, contribute to code implementation, provide suggestions for improvements, get involved in system design discussions, and show a high degree of self-motivation. Whether it is design, coding, testing, process or delivery, quality is paramount in everything they do.

- Working on the back-end systems where creating cutting-edge programmatic ad tech systems are the norm; we handle hundreds of billions of transactions every day
- Designing, writing, and testing robust code
- Working closely with product and other stakeholders to deeply understand the domain and identify opportunities for improvements
- Finding practical solutions
- Analyzing and estimating work in an agile environment
- Fostering a collaborative environment
- Suggest, promote and implement improvements to coding standards and best practices
- 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer (or equivalent co-op experience)
- Exposure to API design/development, design patterns, data engineering and backend development
- You are talented, a fast learner and embrace change
- A desire to work with and learn from the people around you – we greatly value people and interactions
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to think differently, and an understanding that compromise, negotiation and practicality are important qualities
- Experience writing and testing high quality back-end, server-side code
- Exposure to resilient, high-scale, low latency environments is a plus
- Experience working with Linux environments is an asset
- Knowledge in any of the following: Golang, Java, Python or Scala (or other high-level language); Kubernetes, Kafka and Docker are advantageous
