Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst to be a part of our Information Services Team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, IT Services & Sustainability.

Work Term – 4 months (May – August 2025)

Role and Responsibilities

To assist with the following (will train):

  • Installation and configuration of Windows operating systems and software programs
  • Installation and set-up of internal users’ computer systems
  • Technical support of hardware and software (e.g., MS Office, etc.)
  • Provide internal users with in-person and telephone support
  • Evaluate operational challenges and recommend solutions
  • Assist with office equipment relocations
  • Perform minor printer support

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary school, directly related to Information Technology
  • Good triage skills (know when to solve and when to dispatch)
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows 10, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with Smartphones and mobile devices an asset
  • Experience with Service Desk ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow) an asset
  • Experience with remote control tools (e.g., SCCM) and Dell hardware an asset
  • ITIL certification an asset
  • Proven customer service practices (on phone and in person when dispatched)
  • Technical problem solver who is detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Effective management of priorities and multiple deadlines
  • Highly motivated and innovative
  • Strong team player
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
