The Opportunity:
This Nursing Unit Clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily staffing of the Nursing Department. This role assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
What Is In It For You:
- Assists in the coordination of staffing and scheduling needs for the Nursing Department including replacement of staff on a daily "call in" basis and updating staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.
- Obtains approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.
- Maintains attendance/absenteeism reports and communicates any recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.
What You Will Need:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Post secondary education in a related field (e.g., Medical/Office Assistant) is considered an asset.
- 1 – 3 years of previous experience working in a similar position.
