Summary

We are currently seeking a Shop Helper/Labourer - Summer Student for our team in Burnaby for a work-term from May - August 2025. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get experience in a dynamic, customer-centric, team environment, and be part of a fantastic Operations team. This role will report to the Manager, Operations.

Role And Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sandblasting valves and parts
• Supporting in-house repairs and production work
• Painting valves and actuators
• Assist shipping team with palletizing and packaging
• Forklift operation (training will be provided)
• Organize inventory and assist with shop clean-up
• Interfacing with internal and external customers
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
• General labour, as required
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Attending a post-secondary institute in the Fall
• Mechanically knowledgeable
• Ability to successfully obtain Forklift Operation certification (training will be provided)
• Solid keyboarding and computer skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Team player
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Entrepreneurial work ethic
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
