THE ORGANIZATION: St. Michael's Long Term Care Centre, a 153-bed facility located in north east Edmonton. St. Michael's supports professional development opportunities through its "Partnerships in Learning" program.

THE POSITION: Reporting to the Manager, Therapeutic Services, the Therapeutics Assistant will assist members of the Therapeutics team administer treatment and/or implement diversional therapeutic programs and activities within a Day Support and Long Term Care setting. The Therapeutics Assistant will assist and observe clients during treatments or programs, communicate and document client changes as well as maintain treatment areas, equipment and supplies.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong rehabilitation focus. They will possess strong communication/interpersonal skills and be able to promote client autonomy and involvement in active rehabilitation. Must be able to promote and encourage excellent customer relations with clients and their families, visitors and co-workers. A Therapeutic Assistant Diploma is required. The successful candidate should have experience working with a multi-disciplinary rehab team.
