Summary

We are recruiting for a Materials Handler/Inside Sales Summer Student for a 4-month term (May – August) for our Grande Prairie location. Reporting to the Sales & General Manager, Peace Region, the successful candidate will work within a team in our shipping/receiving and inventory areas to provide support to internal and external customers.

Role And Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, outgoing and internal deliveries
• Pick customer orders and package outgoing shipments
• Maintain inventory/stock and conduct stock counts, as required
• Perform computerized data input on various operating systems
• Service products requiring rebuilding or part change-outs
• Assist Service Technicians with job preparations such as drawings, programming and parts assembly
• Provide troubleshooting expertise or refer to appropriate internal expertise
• Interface with existing and new customer applications, typically with telephone support, to provide assistance on products and solutions selection
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Attending a post-secondary institute in the fall; preferred (but not limited to) Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering Technology
• Comprehensive computer skills
• Superior customer service skills
• Accuracy and detail-oriented
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
• Physical requirements: Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.; standing for long periods
