As part of the expansion plans in Canada, we are looking for an experienced, energetic, passion-for-home decor Stockroom Supervisor in the Toronto Eaton Centre Location. This position reports directly to the Store Manager, and together you will build the store team.

Mission

To lead and manage the team in receiving and controlling merchandise and its storage in the stockroom. To undertake store replenishment according to company procedures, in order to ensure that the shop floor is customer-ready at all times.

Job Description - Stockroom Associate

The Stockroom Associate is responsible for leading and managing the team in receiving and controlling merchandise and its storage in the stockroom. The role involves undertaking store replenishment according to company procedures to ensure that the shop floor is always customer-ready. The Stockroom Associate may open or close the store and provide coverage during peak times to cover breaks, meetings, and other times as determined by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. This individual continues to support company and management initiatives while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures as outlined by the organization.

Job Description - Stockroom Supervisor

Key Roles/Responsibilities

  • Set the expectations of how to operate the stockroom with the team.
  • Assign, delegate, guide, and lead by example in the completion of tasks.
  • Motivate the team to maximize productivity and results.
  • Display expert product knowledge and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform opening and closing duties when needed.
  • Manage merchandise flow for the sales floor and backroom.
  • Participate in management functions and perform POS functions on designated shifts.
  • Collaborate with the VM and SM in store changes and merchandising.
  • Communicate actively with the team based on business needs.
  • Detect potential in each employee and ensure their development.
  • Mentor skills development of team members.
  • Coach the team on product flow expectations and manage conflict.
  • Plan and reach stockroom deadlines and targets.
  • Analyze and improve stockroom indicators and performance.
  • Understand key performance indicators and their impact.
  • Optimize resources and minimize expenses.
  • Participate in updating the Merchandising and Rotation rail.
  • Manage stockroom materials and reorganize space optimally.
  • Provide product feedback to management.

  • Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
