About The Role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic Testing team.
The Testing team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by performing routine testing, as well as other relevant lab duties.

About The Role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic Testing team.
The Testing team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by performing routine testing, as well as other relevant lab duties.
Formula for success
- Drawing on your knowledge or experience in a laboratory, you will perform routine maintenance and verification of laboratory equipment in accordance with approved work instructions to meet regulatory requirements.
- Leveraging your excellent customer service skills, you will assist internal and external customers.
- You will perform and record all testing related quality control/assurance activities.
- You will maintain technical competency and promote continuous learning.
- Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills you will participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.
- Perform blood grouping, phenotype testing, antibody screening and antibody identification for patient and donor samples.
- Perform absorptions, elutions, titrations and other specialized serological procedures on complex antibody identification cases including genotyping.
- A general CMLTO license is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in a general lab setting and more specifically transfusion is strongly required.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment involved in testing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work as a team.
- 3 weeks' vacation.
