About the Role:

Maintain and operate electrical systems in company buildings to ensure safety and comfort. Perform housekeeping duties, keep records, and conduct inspections for preventative maintenance. Follow company policies, including food safety and health & safety.

Main Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, and test electrical equipment.
• Maintain low, medium, and high voltage systems.
• Work with external suppliers for system maintenance.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Diagnose and fix system malfunctions.
• Plan and install electrical systems based on specifications and codes.
• Test electrical systems for safety and compatibility.
• Advise management on equipment hazards.
• Provide sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
• Maintain inventories and records of electrical systems.
• Assist in emergencies with critical repairs.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and compliance.
• Use various tools and equipment for electrical work.
• Perform physical activities like climbing and lifting.
• Maintain electrician's license.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and ensure safety measures.
• Monitor fire protection systems.
• Recommend system improvements to the Maintenance Manager.
• Study blueprints and manuals for repairs.
• Work with tradespeople and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Optimize system efficiency through tests and maintenance.
• Perform general housekeeping to keep areas clean and safe.
• Monitor water safety in the facility.
  
  

Who we are looking for:

To be considered for this position you must meet the following qualifications:

Knowledge Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience
• Knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage systems.
• Familiarity with plant auxiliary systems (air compression, motor control, pollution control, etc.).
• Ability to interpret regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of construction and repair methods.
  
  

Skills

• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret blueprints and other plans;
• Ability to program monitoring and control systems
• Collaborative problem-solving with the Maintenance Manager
  
  

Education

• Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Electrician’s Journeyman Certificate
