Slasher/Brusher

We are seeking Slashers and Brushers to join Spectrum Resource Group (Wright Canada Holdings Ltd.) for various locations within British Columbia. As integral members of our crew, gaining hands-on training experience in the vegetation management industry. We offer:

• $25.00 to $40.00 per hour
• Paid travel time and accommodations when away from home

Key Responsibilities

• Slashing/brushing on varying slopes and terrain
• Meet the project specification
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around work area
• Assumes responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment. Requests repair or replacement of equipment when necessary
• Understands the right to refuse unsafe work and invokes that right responsibly

Minimum Requirements

• Certified Chainsaw operator
• Valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record
• A safety conscious attitude
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to traverse steep slopes and work for more than 7 hours a day
• Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
• Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field
• The ability to work away from home for periods of time
