Job Description:
The Insurance Financial Control team is responsible for reconciling, monitoring and reporting related to Individual Insurance products and commissions. This role helps to ensure the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions from the Individual administration systems through to the General Ledger.

Key performance elements include ensuring that all work is complete and accurate as well as identifying and escalating any control/compliance issues and offering alternatives for a solution. You should possess a natural willingness to support the team in the successful accomplishment of all objectives. You will strive to understand your customers' needs and support their requirements by setting clear expectations, and meeting or exceeding them. You will work as part of the team to develop excellence and support innovation while ensuring that the tasks performed continue to add value.

- Daily journal entries
- Account Reconciliations
- Engage in continuous improvement via brighter way
What do you need to succeed?
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to operate effectively as a team member as well as independently with limited supervision
- Solid problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet stringent deadlines
Assets:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots)
- Proficient with SLF Oracle Ledger systems (Discoverer, ADI Templates, CATT, Frontier)
- University/College education in accounting and/or business subject areas
