Job Description
The Network Automation Practice team is currently seeking a Test Leader who will be responsible for defining a comprehensive test strategy and leading its implementation across the Network Automation team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality delivery of all software and solutions, with the goal of reducing effort and costs while providing robust and tested end products. The position will venture into the domain of Automated Testing and will open the opportunity to demonstrate significant savings through Automation.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As the Test Leader, you will play a crucial role in:
Leading and managing a team of test engineers in defining, building, and implementing test strategies.
Designing and implementing automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
Reporting, Analysing, and evaluating Automated Testing strategies – devising methods of measuring Efficiencies (through Time, Manpower and Cost savings), increasing Effectiveness (velocity, quality, reliability and repeatability in delivering for our Customers) and ultimately generating measurable value (as a combination of Efficiency, Effectiveness, Quality and new opportunities generated)
Developing and implementing KPIs to measure test performance efficiency, effectiveness, quality and compliance.
Ensuring proper test strategy and consistently high levels of quality across all software and solutions within the Network Automation Practice team.
Collaborating with other teams to share test strategies and automation approaches, such as R&D and other services teams.
Key Skills And Experience
A minimum of 7+ years of experience leading a technical team and collaborating across organizational boundaries.
10+ years of experience in testing network software and solutions.
Proven track record of influencing and building credibility with highly technical, cross-functional teams at all seniority levels.
Experience in hiring engineers and technical leaders and supporting their career growth.
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to articulate concepts, designs, and decisions effectively.
Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously.
Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a focus on customer experience and attention to detail.
Keen sense on identifying Automated Test opportunities to improve on overall product quality, time to test, and cost to implement.
Technical Skills Required:
Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science.
Extensive experience in designing and executing test plans.
Deep knowledge of testing strategies.
Experience with automation frameworks such as Robot and Selenium, as well as test management systems like TestLink and Jira Xray.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript for building test automation.
Knowledge and experience with DevOps tools and processes.
Experience in testing software and solutions for networking, along with IP and Optical networking knowledge.
