AZ Driver

GFL Environmental Inc. is looking for a safe and experienced full-time AZ Driver for immediate hire.

Location: 219 Industrial Park Crescent, Sault Ste Marie, ON.

Hauling includes but is not limited to recycling, refuse, heavy equipment, landscaping supplies, aggregates, bins, etc.. Third party and inter-company hauling throughout Canada and the United States may be required. Experience with heavy hauling, floating equipment and the operation of walking floor trailers is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established company policies and contract obligations
• Responsible for daily electronic driving logbook and inspections of assigned assets
• Complete daily routes as assigned by the Route supervisors
• Satisfy customer needs for service
• Perform end of day driver check-ins to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
• Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
• May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisors
• Adhere to the “Safe For Life” practice within the workplace
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

• Valid AZ license
• Clean drivers abstract and CVOR
• Must be physically fit to be successful in the position
• Experience in dump truck, walking floor, heavy and over-sized loads, flat deck and float transportation is an asset.
• Must be able to adapt to daily changes in project assignment to satisfy the needs of the customer.
• Able to work weekends and nights when required
