What You Will Do:
- Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Load materials into vehicle and install straps, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Follow company delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency of delivery run
- Manually, load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices
- Check all load–related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct as you promote good working relationships with all customers
- Other duties as assigned
- MUST HAVE valid class 5/G drivers’ license, 3 years of Canadian driving experience and no major driving infractions in the last 3 years.
- MUST HAVE demonstrated direct customer service experience while working in a similar role/position.
- MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift up to 75 – 100lbs, sit for long periods of time, drive up to 160kms and return at a time.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
- Heavy duty parts supply background and/or knowledge an asset
