Position Title: Senior Technology Architect, Enterprise Platforms
Reports To: Head of Enterprise Platforms & Enterprise Architecture Department : Enterprise Platforms Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you will be doing:
- Capture and document enterprise content management use cases, adopting an employee-centric perspective to design scalable solutions for file sharing and process optimization, including workflows for reviews and approvals.
- Architect robust solutions for content lifecycle management, encompassing capture, creation, consolidation, processing, and retention, while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Develop and manage the technology lifecycle and strategic roadmap for enterprise content management systems, conducting architecture reviews to identify risks, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards for resiliency, redundancy, availability, and scalability to support business-critical operations.
- Coordinate and oversee technical implementations and changes with software vendors, third-party consultants, and internal IT teams to maintain seamless operations.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to map application footprints, analyze business processes, and define integration points across enterprise applications.
- Define and communicate non-functional requirements (NFRs) to development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and business objectives.
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership across the development lifecycle, from solution design and development to testing and production deployment.
- Lead and contribute to technology product evaluations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and architectural standards.
- Actively participate in Enterprise Technology Governance and Architecture Review processes, contributing to decision-making and promoting architectural best practices.
- Engage in the Enterprise Architecture Community of Practice, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices across architecture teams.
- Previous experience designing solutions for document capture, creation, consolidation, processing and retention. Specific experience with OnBase, Kofax KTA and OpenText Exstream would be an asset.
- Experience in Health Insurance or Financial Services is an asset
- The ability to drive business requirements and non-functional requirements
- Exposure to and an understanding of Waterfall and Agile scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile team
- Experience using diagramming tools such as MS Visio and or MIRO
- Understanding of tools like Teams, GitHub, CICD, and Azure DevOps Services.
- Expertise with queuing systems like Kafka, Azure service bus, event grid
- Strong hands-on experience with services in public clouds AWS and Azure.
- Application development experience with C#, JavaScript, XML, HTTP, Java, SQL, experience with progressive web applications and design systems
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys and excels in a fast-paced environment with some level of ambiguity on requirements
- Experience working with onsite and offshore consultants for timely and quality delivery
