Employee Service Centre Coordinator

Position Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for payroll operations and employee services? Join our team as the Coordinator, Employee Service Centre, and lead the way in ensuring excellence in payroll delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement. As the Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operational activities of the Employee Service Centre (ESC). Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Consultant, you will oversee payroll processes, lead operational training for staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies. You will also contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and operational improvements while fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead day-to-day operations in the branch, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and audit processes to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide guidance and support to payroll team members, including training and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate across departments to streamline workflows between Payroll, Talent, and Benefits.
- Identify and implement system enhancements for improved payroll service delivery.
- Act as a liaison between departments to address payroll-related challenges and provide resolution.
What We’re Looking For:
- The successful completion of a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or Human Resources, plus five (5) years of experience in a related Payroll or HR role, including supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Successful completion of the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation (or willingness to obtain).
- Extensive experience with large computerized systems.
- Expertise in collective agreements, payroll legislation, data integrity principles, accounting practices, and payroll practices.
- Exceptional collaboration, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
