HDPE Fusion Technician

  • Performs HDPE and FPVC fusion welding, ensuring proper procedures and techniques are applied to secure system integrity and performance.
  • Performs mechanical system work including but not limited to fusion equipment rebuilding, overhead crane operation, forklift, and machine shop power tool operation to fire hydrant repair and other mechanical water system and wastewater system work.
  • Works with municipal and industrial supervisors and leaders to interpret job specifications.
  • Provides quality customer service and problem-solving services.
  • Supports warehouse operations including receiving and shipping inventory, operating a forklift, ensuring the yard and warehouse are clean and organized.
  • Occasionally may perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Butt fusion welding ticket
  • Forklift ticket
  • 2 years of related construction experience (with piping/HDPE an asset)
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
