You are a registered apprentice or Journeyperson Structural or Generalist Ironworker with experience working on industrial construction projects. You are someone who is comfortable bolting and impacting at heights (up to 150ft) and appreciate a view from the top. You have an appreciation for safety and value teamwork and collaboration.

Wage: $31.05 - $47.12 per hour with overtime after 8 hours/day (as per existing collective agreement).

Benefits Package: Benefits (as per existing collective agreement with CLAC) including extended health coverage, dental, optical, prescription drug plan, short term & long term disability, life insurance, accidental death & disability coverage and emergency travel.

Location of work: Leroy, Saskatchewan

  • 14/7 rotation working 11 hours/day
  • Working at heights
  • Travel/flight allowance for provided for non-local residents
  • Private Camp based accommodation
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Project end date: August 2025

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Stick build steel erection for structural steel building and structural steel panelization, modular builds, mod placement and EAU assembly
  • Bolt up and impacting working at heights
  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of work
  • Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
  • Heavy lift, rigging and setting of building modules
  • Ensures the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Journeyperson/Apprentice Ironworker certification with a recognized provincial training authority. (Union Cards not accepted)
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing and criminal background check
  • ESC Fall Protection and Mobile Elevated Work Platform is an asset
  • Must have basic Ironworker tools
