Instructor, Human Resource Management (Term Full-Time)
Applied Commerce and Management Education
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated March 31, 2025 up to June 26, 2026)
SALARY: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of
- $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.
POSITION LOCATION: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Chair of Applied Commerce and Management Education, the Instructor will be responsible for teaching Human Resource Management related courses at the Exchange District campus. Some online or blended course delivery may be required. Duties will include the preparation of course materials and assessments, instruction of students and evaluation of course materials. Courses may include, but are not limited to Human Resource Management, Conflict Resolution, Human Resource Communication, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Workplace Health and Safety, Organizational Behaviour, HR Management Research and Planning, Labour Relations and Contemporary Topics in HR Management. Duties related to instructing include curriculum development and maintenance, preparing instructional schedules, maintaining student records, student evaluation, assisting in college activities including student orientation, convocation, and relevant committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in human resource management, business or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Significant and progressive experience in Human Resource Management
- Proficient in the use of Client Relationship Management software
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- CPHR Certification
- Experience instructing in a post-secondary institution
- Experience developing and instructing distance delivered courses including online
- Experience managing human resource issues in a unionized environment
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
