The Position
As the Applications Engineering and Proposal Manager - Nuclear, you will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end bid process, including opportunity management, data integrity, and bid procedures. This role involves developing and implementing policies, ensuring project goals are met within budget, and fostering continuous improvement across proposal strategies and departmental operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to refine processes and ensure a seamless transition of projects into operations, ultimately supporting Eclipse’s mission to deliver world-class custom automation solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive opportunity management by developing strategic sales and proposal plans for targeted industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quotes, concepts, and budgets meet high-quality standards.
- Lead and manage the proposal process, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and customer needs.
- Engage with key accounts to strengthen relationships, gather feedback, and identify new business opportunities.
- Oversee project transition to operations, ensuring seamless execution aligned with client expectations.
- Foster continuous improvement by refining processes, tools, and templates for enhanced proposal outcomes.
- Represent Eclipse at industry events to enhance visibility and build strategic partnerships.
- An educational background in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in the custom automation industry, with a focus on bid management and process.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in customer presentations and negotiations.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and MS Office tools.
- A proactive leader with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts and achieve results.
- Willingness to travel within the USA and Canada, up to 25% of the time.
