Plains is currently looking to fill the full-time position of Labourer for our Fort Saskatchewan Facility. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Team Lead and assist the Fort Saskatchewan team with daily operations and maintenance duties on day shift, Monday through Friday.
Permanent residency within 120 km of the Fort Saskatchewan facility is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining daily focus on individual and team safety while executing work front preparation, pre-job hazard assessments, and hazard identification.
- Understanding and adhering to safety practices, procedures, and policies.
- Assisting warehouse with shipping preparations and physical receiving of goods.
- Operating equipment such as rough-terrain forklift, pallet jack, and company vehicle, as required.
- Completing seasonal grounds maintenance consisting of lawncare duties and snow removal by operating various types of equipment including tractor, mower, plow, sander, truck and trailer.
- Assisting internal maintenance team with repairs as assigned.
- Executing equipment spotting, monitoring, and refueling.
- Assisting vendor services as assigned.
- Completing manual labor duties as required.
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- 2–5 years’ working in plant setting considered an asset.
- Warehouse and equipment operation experience considered assets.
- Proven history of being punctual and reliable.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions and carry out daily duties.
- Able to prioritize multiple requirements and requests.
- Able to provide occasional support during non-business hours.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
- Compliance with the Company’s requirement to be clean shaven to ensure proper fit of emergency PPE.
