We are seeking an Intermediate Traffic Engineer/Technologist to continue to build our transportation planning and operational analysis, business lines, and to take their career to the next level.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Handles transportation planning, design and traffic operations analyses associated with:
- Straightforward and complex traffic impact studies for land development.
- Environmental assessment and construction traffic impact analyses.
- Transportation master plans.
- Operational analysis, including micro-simulation.
- Support for Traffic tasks and projects.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with quality control.
- Oversee the assessments and preparation of reports, drawings, etc. by junior staff.
- Make presentations as a representative of EXP and /or our clients to Municipal Road authorities and/or MTO.
- Assist in business development activities to continue to grow our group.
- Make a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environment.
- Degree/Diploma in Transportation Engineering and/or Civil Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, preferably with Ontario Municipal Road and Provincial authorities and land development.
- RAQS (Registry, Appraisal and Qualification System) certification for Traffic Impact Analysis, or qualifications to be able to certify is desirable.
- L.E.T./P. Eng. designation with PEO or C.E.T. designation with OACETT is required.
- Experience in project management, report preparation, and client relationship management.
- Proficient in the application of specialized traffic assessments and/or transportation planning software (Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsum and EMME).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience leading and working on Transportation Master Plan projects is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements and supporting overall team culture.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements.
- ITE Canada membership desirable.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (minimum G2).
