Job Description
MAJOR DUTIES:
Provide technical support to quality assurance auditors and production personnel. Operate/Programing the CMM to accurately measure parts. Maintain Gauge Calibration. Coordinate cross-functional daily suspect part reviews (MRB). Facilitate special testing internally and externally to ATS as required.
General Responsibilities
Education:
Quality Technicians must possess a grade 12 education or equivalent with additional upgrading courses involving CMM technology. Must be a Certified Quality Technician or possess equivalent experience.

Job Description
MAJOR DUTIES:

General Responsibilities
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with ATS code of business conduct.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures.
- Comply with all ATS Policies / Procedures / Instructions as defined
- Ensure that all business activities are performed in accordance with the ATS Confidentiality Policy.
- Lead or Participate in Continual Improvement Activities
- Assist in completing tasks to ensure product quality is consistent to original design.
- Aid in the procurement of new measuring devices.
- Facilitate the repair or external calibration / verification of measuring devices.
- Work with manufacturing team members to perform process troubleshooting and process / part resolution.
- Coordinate daily cross functional review of suspect parts for MRB disposition
- Assist and coordinate with engineering the launch of new parts.
- Assist in PRP (Product Realization Planning) activities, as appropriate.
- Complete reviews of part First Article Inspections.
- Co-ordinate and execute gauge capability studies, MSA’s
- Program and setup inspection equipment including the CMM
- Monitor metrology, environment stability.
- Order and coordinate set up of new inspection equipment.
- Coordinate the completion of special tests in lab.
- Coordinate instructions and lab activities.
- Coordinate calibration activities of the plant by using applicable third party companies or calibrating equipment in-house.
- Assist the FAT / ATP run as appropriate
- Monitor and ensure compliance to ISO policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as related to those outlined above, or which may be completed based on individual skill or experience.
Education:
Quality Technicians must possess a grade 12 education or equivalent with additional upgrading courses involving CMM technology. Must be a Certified Quality Technician or possess equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum one year experience operating/programing CMM equipment or equivalent.
- Knowledge of fundamentals of quality assurance program (graduate from a recognized program an asset).
- Able to understand and apply SPC (statistical process control) program. (graduate from a recognized program an asset)
- Knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerance) (graduate from a recognized program an asset).
- Must be able to use measuring equipment such as vernier, calipers and micrometers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office necessary.
