We have an exciting opportunity for a Power Systems Electrician to support a long-term client in the Fort McMurray region. Reporting to the Technical Field Services Client Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to provide technical expertise to the client daily while identifying opportunities to grow Magna’s support and services at this facility.

This role is meant to provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for preventative maintenance, unplanned outages, and new electrical equipment installations. The role includes a core responsibility of helping our client to further develop their critical equipment management, but due to the diverse day-to-day operations there is never a static routine to the support. The independence of the role away from Magna’s home office encourages leadership and independence, and also places the successful candidate as the “face of Magna” for all possible needs the client has. These challenges and opportunities create a greater role opportunity than purely focusing on the day-to-day tasks presented by the client.
