In line with our strategic direction, Servier Canada is looking to hire a Manager, Patient Affairs. Reporting to the head of Medical Affairs, Oncology, the Manager Patient Affairs is responsible to develop and implement the capacities and the expertise of Servier Canada aligned with the vision of the Group’s patient affairs strategy and priorities. The patient affairs manager will be the voice of patients, will gather insights and will partner closely with different departments of the organization.

Status of position: Permanent

Start date: February 2025 (flexible)

Location of position: Laval; Hybrid office / work from home.

Weekly hours and schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the continuous development of the Patient Affairs Strategy through engagement and partnerships with patients and patient groups.
  • Coordinates and facilitates collaboration between patients and various departments to incorporate and account for the patient perspective.
  • Contributes to cultivation of patient centric mindset & its culture across the business.

What will be your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain harmonious relationships with Canadian patient organizations.
  • Develop and participate in patient committees and forums to better understand patients’ needs and gather insights into the patient experience.
  • Develop a comprehensive, structured framework to better integrate patient voices and ensure patient experience guide Servier’s future initiatives.
  • Work closely with multiple teams such as government relations, regulatory, medical, marketing and market access teams to coordinate initiatives of common interest, ensuring that Servier aligns with the needs and rights of patients.
  • Work closely with government authorities to develop policy strategies supporting better patient care and lead this execution.
  • Ensure that patient facing materials are meaningful and impactful based on patient advisory group feedback.
  • Ensure that all members of Servier Canada understand the link between their role and the patient.
  • Other duties as required or directed by the Head of Medical Affairs or Functional Management.

Your background will ideally include

  • Degree in life sciences, background or education in public affairs or experience in patient engagement is an asset.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role, i.e., project/product management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Collaborative and listening skills, empathy to patients and good-spirited.
  • Capacity to develop positive and strong relationships.
  • Fluency in English and French, written and spoken.
  • A team player with a track record for developing and maintaining positive and constructive relationships with individuals across the organization.
  • Communicate with tact and assertiveness, strong leadership.
  • Available to travel up to 20%.
  • Desire to work in a small team driven by Servier’s values, coupled with a genuine desire to improve patients’ lives.
