Office Manager Location: Hunting Hills High School
37.5 hours weekly following the school calendar
March 17, 2025 to June 30, 2026
Temporary position replacing a leave of absence.
The Office Manager acts as the primary administrative assistant to the principal and vice principals, ensuring seamless support and organization. This successful applicant will also collaborate with the business manager to maintain efficient task flow and delegation within the main school office, anticipate staffing challenges, and work proactively with office staff to develop practical solutions that support the smooth functioning of the office. Additionally, the successful applicant will manage the school's social media platforms, creating and curating content to ensure effective communication and engagement with the school community.
This position is paid on grid C of the Classified Staff grid, with a current range of $27.31 to $31.65 per hour.
Primary responsibilities and duties:
- Preparing correspondence for the principal and vice-principals
- Scheduling meetings and appointments for the principal and vice-principals
- Running our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
- Preparing communications to parents via newsletters, emails, and telephone call-outs
- Taking minutes at meetings as required by principal and vice-principals (CL Meetings, etc.)
- Tracking and assignment of keys issued to staff
- Delegation of duties, along with the business manager, to ensure that effective workflow and processes are followed
- Administrative office front reception assistance
- Management of the Hunting Hills High School website
- Event support for significant events such as grad, awards, grade 9 orientation, and assemblies
- Set up technology for staff meetings, assemblies
- Registration Website and Updates
- Parent Teacher Interviews
- Office administrative tasks such as photocopiers, organizing exam materials, office mailing, printing and other duties as required

- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using Google platforms, including Docs, Sheets, and Drive
- Experienced with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram for communication and engagement
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work independently within the context of a team environment
- Attention to detail with excellent proficiency
- Effectively communicate with district staff, students, parents, and the public professionally
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
