DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) builds organizational capability in managing risk comprehensively and promoting a strong risk culture within TD. The team develops and implements an enterprise risk management strategy, governance, policies, and practices.
TD applies the “Three Lines of Defence” model to risk management as defined in the Enterprise Risk Framework. The ERM team assures the design, implementation, and/or execution of TD's risk management framework.
ERM collaborates with a broad network of business and risk management practitioners in all jurisdictions where the Bank has business activities.
Job Responsibilities
During the internship, the selected Co-op will work with their People Manager to create a development plan aligned with their professional goals related to enterprise-wide risk management. ERM will provide a holistic view of the diverse programs and initiatives in-flight and/or being developed. Tasks/Projects the Co-op will have exposure to include:
- Contribute to the quantification of Strategic Risk as part of the Bank's Stress Testing Program.
- Support risk monitoring and reporting activities for the Senior Executive Team, Risk Committee of the Board, and Board of Directors via production of Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk Dashboards.
- Assist with the annual refresh of the Bank's Risk Appetite Statement.
- Assist with Framework & Policy Governance and Risk Identification & Reporting.
- Contribute to the oversight and governance of Basel Ongoing Compliance.
- Assist with Enterprise Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting Governance.
- Lead new Ad-hoc projects/initiatives from start to completion.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field.
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of returning to school at the start of your work term.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interaction with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage, influence, and leverage multiple stakeholders concurrently.
- High accountability, organizational skills, self-motivated with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong skillset in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
