Position Details: This position involves the purchase of sales finance contracts from franchise automobile dealerships. Analysis is done to determine whether the loan applicant meets acceptable underwriting standards. Underwriting is done using an automated credit system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze loan applications to ensure they meet underwriting standards while maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Balance the demands of production, sales support, risk management, and quality assessments.
  • Build and maintain proactive relationships with automobile dealers.
  • Foster positive working relationships with peers and Business Development Managers (BDMs).
  • Provide backup support for team members and assist the Special Credit team with funding issues.

Work Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of Credit Analyst experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge of funding, credit scoring, and the credit review process.

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of credit analysis and loan documentation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities.
  • Coaching and feedback skills.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
