Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Learning Designer to support multiple technology projects.


Responsibilities:

Learning Solution Development:

• Develop the learning strategy and plan

• Facilitates the reviews and approvals of the learning strategy and plan

• Develop eLearning, job aids, videos, webinars/webcasts, and instructor

• Led training

Course Maintenance:

• Maintains, improves, and updates existing course materials as needed.

Training & Delivery:

• Provides training and guidance to instructors and facilitators

Needs Assessment:

• Develops learning needs assessment and design processes, methodologies, and frameworks

• Conducts training needs analysis to inform learning requirements

• Identifies and presents recommendations for learning solutions to address performance gaps

• Partner with the Change Management team

Learning Solutions:

• Selects and applies appropriate instructional design models, learning theories, strategies, principles, and media

• Develop instructional materials, job aids, work tools, and other resources as required for learning initiatives (including eLearning, instructor-led training, and webinars).

• Plans and develops measurement and evaluation strategies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions on learner performance.

Advisory:

• Delivers best practice curriculum advisory services and makes recommendations for appropriate instructional strategies and media that support teaching and learning outcomes in a range of formats

• Provides coaching and guidance to the instructional design team.

Deliverables:

• Learning needs assessments - learning strategy and plan - Various Learning assets: eLearning, job aids, videos, webinars/webcasts, and instructor-led training

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience developing training for technology implementation and upgrade projects

• 2+ years of experience conducting learning assessments and developing training strategies

• Experience creating elearning and video training curriculum

• Knowledge & Technical Skills:

o of adult learning strategies and methodologies

o of graphic and layout design

o of audio and visual recording

o of curriculum planning

o of learning needs assessment

o of learning measurement and evaluation methodologies and best practices
