Reporting to the Manager, Document Control, this position supports Atlantic Region Operations as a member of the Document Management Group, which is responsible for the lifecycle management of all Cenovus documentation. This position will assist with the daily activities of the document control center team, ensuring the timely delivery of information to all clients. It will also include assisting the team in client communication(s) as well as contributing to any ongoing development of policies and procedures to manage the same.

What you’ll do

  • Assisting with standard document control functions for revision and non-revision controlled documentation, including but not limited to Engineering, Vendor and procedural type documentation.
  • Operating the electronic transmittal system to manage the registration, tracking, and distribution of controlled documentation.
  • Assisting in records management and inventory procedures.
  • Ensuring that authors and any other provider of documentation adheres to the Documentation Guidance Manual standards, format etc.
  • Filing and physically organizing material kept on site.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
  • Available to begin work in May 2025

  • Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some administrative work experience.
  • Some knowledge of information management systems.

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

Education

  • Must be enrolled in a Records Management Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term or registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
