About the Role:

We are looking to welcome an energetic self-starter, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Corrugate Production team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team oriented environment and embraces Continuous Improvement working culture.

The Machine Operator plays a critical role in producing custom boxes and working as a team in a manufacturing environment. We are hiring at our Edmonton location at 5219 47 St NW on our afternoon shift:

  • Monday-Friday, 3:30PM-12:00AM

Compensation

The typical hiring range for this position is $19.50-23.00/hour

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing/manufacturing corrugated products in an accurate and timely manner to maintain our 99% on time delivery goal.
  • Ensure finished goods are packaged and tagged accurately to be ready for shipping.
  • Ensure processes and systems are being followed properly.
  • Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Enter finished production in Radius accurately.
  • Continually look for ways to improve process efficiencies in the manufacturing of corrugate products.
  • Ensure that the product matches the order specification by conducting quality spot checks.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems.
  • Ensure that the corrugated area is kept clean and is always organized.
  • Count inventory as required.
  • Make samples as required.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift Certification is required
  • Effective communication skills and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and succeed
  • Good organization skills and reliable work habits
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as this position requires lifting, bending and moderate physical exertion
