As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps, positively representing the Company and maintaining good relations with customers. Successful Mechanics excel and place value on the following:

  • Perform basic inspections while learning RFR SOPs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to all Lockout Tagout procedures.
  • Understand the safe operation of portable cordless, electric, and pneumatic tools.
  • Understand the safe operation of shop stationary power tools.
  • Perform engine services as far as oil changes and filter changes including fuel filters.
  • Grease bearings as in pump bearings and wheel bearings.
  • Drain/Refill coolant system, pressure test radiator for leaks, use of hydrometer.
  • Remove/Replace battery cables/terminals, use of load tester to QA battery condition.
  • Inspects/Remove/Replace jack stands and safety chains on trailers and pumps.
  • Safely inspect/drain/fill fuel tanks, perform repairs and leak testing.
  • Inspect, examine, and performance test pumps using appropriate specifications.
  • Knowledge of pipe fittings and flanges as pertained to fitting pumps for customers.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications.
  • Receive, inspect and stock needed products, including oil filters, air filters, pump, hoses, and tools.
  • Read, comprehend, and apply information from parts diagrams, owner’s, and instruction manuals.
  • Complete paperwork/electronic documents as required by management.
    • Knows when and how to submit Failure Reports.
    • Thorough adherence to Service Jobs time management
    • Pre/Post Delivery Equipment inspections
    • Green/Red Tagging process
    • Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
Other Competencies:

Other job competencies required to be successful in this position that are not listed elsewhere include:

  • Able to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Able to use a calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure/ruler.
  • Able to read a map, plan routes, and calculate distances.

Must be Motivated, Team player, Safety-Oriented, and have a Customer Service orientation
