What Opportunity Awaits?

As we continue to grow, Libro is on a mission to find a passionately accountable full-time Scrum Master supporting our London Administration location.

The Scrum Master is responsible for leading Product, Platform, and Project Teams to create and deliver high-quality solutions and services while simultaneously maximizing productivity and ensuring exceptional quality. This role influences and facilitates coaching, creativity, self-improvement, and empowerment for the team, educating them in Agile methodologies, and ensures the agile process is being followed to achieve team goals. The Scrum Master also helps identify and remove impediments while fostering an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.

Note

  • There are three vacancies: two contract positions for one year and one full-time permanent position.
  • This position is eligible for Libro’s work from home program.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Coach and guide the team and organization on how to use scrum, agile practices and methodologies, and Kanban, as well as other tools for effective project management.
  • Oversees the overall scrum and agile process for assigned teams and ensures the theory, practices, rules, and values of agile are being followed.
  • Facilitates daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement and planning meetings in a way that ensures full engagement of the team they are supporting.
  • Establishes an agile mindset within the team through conversations, coaching, and various exercises. Always promotes innovative thinking and self-improvement.
  • Collaborates to promote best practices, lessons learned and ensuring agile team alignment.
  • Supports the Product Owner or team lead to facilitate discussion on prioritization and timing of new releases and changes that the team is launching.
  • Limits impediments to the team's success, such as cultural barriers or logistical challenges, supporting the Product Owner/leader, and ensuring that the squad’s progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders through ongoing internal communication and key results reporting.
  • Facilitates and supports product and backlog planning to ensure clear prioritization and alignment with team goals.
  • Understands and communicates the vision for the experience they are building towards and engages beyond process e.g. in solution design, customer feedback and testing, understanding of data/insights.
  • Cultivates a trusting environment where issues can be raised without fear of negative consequences.
  • Understands context of the business and the technology sufficiently to problem-solve with the team, asks the right questions and owns solution quality and continuous delivery to customer.
  • Creates and maintains visual management tools in close collaboration with the team (Kanban boards, objectives and key results, etc.).
