What you’ll do
NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
The International Operations Associate provides support to all areas of international operations at Capilano University including International Student Transition and Engagement, International Recruitment, International Admissions, International Marketing and Communications, and Global Engagement activities including Study Abroad and International Partnerships. The role involves organizing and assisting events such as orientation, supporting recruitment and marketing campaigns, and more. The position reports to the Manager, Centre for International Experience and collaborates with various stakeholders.
Illustrative Examples of Duties
- Assists the AVP, International processing agent agreements and commissions for new and existing partners and education agents.
- Participates in the preparations of Pre-departure Orientations, New International Student Orientation, and annual Engagement and Study Abroad CIE cultural and transition webinars and events.
- Promotes the International Student Leadership and Mentorship program including selecting and training mentors.
- Assists in local and international recruitment events.
- Contributes to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of New International Student Orientation to enhance their experience.
What you’ll bring
Required Training and Experience
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum two years working in international operations with experience in areas such as international education agents, social programs for young adults, or cross-cultural settings.
- Fluency in English and another language relevant to recruitment markets.
Required Licences, Certificates & Registrations
- RISIA certification or progress toward it is an asset.

Days and Hours of Work
Standard work week is Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm. May include weekends and out of hours work.
Salary
$5391 per month based on 35 hours per week (with increments up to $6062 per month)
