Position Summary

This person will work with leaders to analyze and interpret divisional financial results and trends, including margins, revenue and costs. The position is the main line of interaction with the Business Leaders of this division and senior management in the corporate head office and requires a highly motivated and organized individual with strong communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Location: 1115 Cardiff Blvd., Mississauga (Hybrid / Remote at the moment)
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours

What You Will Do

  • Detailed analysis of margin trends, customer revenue and expenses and interpretation of divisional financial results
  • Work with Front Line Operators to assess their region's profitability through customer P&L's and customer specific KPI measurements and provide recommendations to the Business Units.
  • Working closely with Operations Managers to analyze driver trips and highlight exceptions in an effort to improve profitability.
  • Participation in month-end close meetings with accounting, operation's directors and senior management.
  • Working with the Corporate team to help implement policies related to establishing reliable and accurate cut-off and accrual procedures, expense approvals, etc.
  • Ensure all financial analysis and corresponding reports are accurate, timely and address the needs of the business
  • Work with various groups (Finance, Operations, IT), to assist in the integration of business acquisitions

What You Will Bring

  • 5 years
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Accounting Designation (CA, CMA or CGA) or MBA.
  • Computer skills required VBA and SQL, Power Query
  • Strong technical skills
  • Ability to manage cross functional relationships (Sales, Operations, Maintenance).
  • Focused on results while professionally and willingly addressing issues which threaten their achievement.
  • Consistently develops practical procedures and controls and completes tasks through to a conclusion.
  • Can work well with Senior Management (exposure to C level executives on a regular basis).
  • Strong communication, relationship building and problem solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to build complex formulas to support quantitative analysis, trend analysis, task automation and exception reporting
  • Possess sound knowledge of activities and principles of business and understand business practices and trends in the industry
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
