The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, Advisor Experience, the Partner Support Associate, Transfers is responsible for supporting advisors with inquiries related to external transfers and ensuring the efficient processing of these transfers. This role acts as a liaison between advisors and key partners, including internal departments, our custodian (NBIN), and external financial institutions, to resolve issues and provide timely, accurate support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely and accurate assistance to advisors with external transfer inquiries, ensuring smooth processing of requests.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with advisor teams by understanding their needs, providing personalized support, and proactively addressing their challenges.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between advisors, internal teams, NBIN, and external institutions.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of external transfer processes, including ATON, NON-ATON, and special situation transfers such as pension transfers.
  • Addressing and resolving external transfer-related challenges effectively, accurately and in a time efficient manner.
  • Escalating issues in a timely manner by assessing the advisor team’s concerns and the severity of the situation.
  • Helping maintain and update the internal procedure documentation, including the team’s guide.
  • Collaborating with the Manager to develop expertise in specific areas and provide support to streamline departmental processes.
  • Performing additional tasks related to advisor support and operational processes.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally in a role involving external transfers or advisory support.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a customer/client service facing role.
  • Completion or working towards completing the CSC is considered an asset.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with external transfer systems (e.g., ATON, CDS, DTC) or willingness to learn.
