We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to join the team. This is a hands-on role for a leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding service.
OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
As our Catering Manager, you will:- Manage daily catering operations, ensuring alignment with the Club’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop an annual sales plan and budget.
- Set and achieve catering and event sales goals, meeting budget targets.
- Plan and coordinate Weddings, VIP, and Signature events.
- Prepare event orders, including budgets and floor plans, and ensure timely communication with teams.
- Oversee invoicing and accounts receivables.
- Oversee large-scale events (150+ guests) with attention to detail and client satisfaction.
- Write employee schedules and manage labor.
- Motivate and train the catering team, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Empower employees to deliver top-tier experiences for members and guests.
- Ensure staff training and compliance with safety procedures.
- In collaboration with the Director of Catering, onboard and train new members of the Catering team.
- Participate in monthly catering team meetings and act as a liaison with other departments, leading them in the absence of the Director.
- Supervise banquet operations, including room inspections and adherence to standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service.
- Address guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance catering performance.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience required.
- 5 years of experience in Event Planning required.
- Previous experience working for a private club or hotel preferred.
- Formal education in Event Planning preferred.
- Proven expertise with executing large events with confidence.
- Knowledge of finance, including budgets and invoicing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and adapt to a flexible work schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays).
