The Ministry of Social Services, Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) works with non-profit and for-profit organizations to ensure that Saskatchewan residents have access to quality, affordable housing. The Housing Infrastructure and Business Information Branch is seeking a results-oriented individual with well developed communication, leadership, project development and consulting skills to fill the role as Project Development Consultant, Housing Development and Real Estate.
As the Project Development Consultant, you will provide expert program delivery, as well as project development and project management advice to SHC delivered projects, as well as to non-profit housing corporations, cooperatives, municipalities, government agencies and the private sector delivering a variety of housing programs and initiatives for households with diverse housing needs.
You will participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of housing program delivery for a variety of sponsors; develop and implement marketing strategies for the delivery of rental programs; and manage and analyze data and statistics as they pertain to program delivery.
As the candidate of choice, you will bring knowledge of project development and management principles as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have the ability to lead a team of professionals through the planning, design, and construction of various projects. You will have the ability to assess financial statements and business plans as they pertain to the development of projects and the sustainability of the organization.
Typically, your knowledge for this position will be gained through a degree in planning, engineering, or a related discipline with experience in project management, residential housing project delivery or community development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Travel to other areas of the province will be required. This position will be based in either Regina or Saskatoon.
